March 21, 2009 Saturday Blog
A lot to say this evening so here goes.
As many of you may know, I have been off work for some time now. I had really hoped to return to work before now but as you see, this has not happened. This back of mine may have done its last real day's work and now it's starting to bother me. I can't take this not working and what would I do for a job if I had to leave my current employer? All I know is this: I have been working towards getting my back to a point I can return to work but it seems to have hit a brick wall with improvement. What I really fear the most is the doctor deciding my back is stable but unable to return to work. I just don't know what to do at this point. It's enough to bring tears to this old warhorse' eyes, I'm so upset.
I'm not sure if any of you have been following the AIG debacle but I can tell you this; if they get away with it, we need to forge a revolution against the government that allowed a practically defunct firm to use bailout money to reward their 'crooks' for getting them into such a position. This is an embarrassment to the government that allowed this and the Treasury officials that said they could go ahead with this should be jailed for even thinking such a thing. I really appreciate my tax dollars being given to crooks when that 170 million dollars could go to a worthy cause, such as the 'Make Kellan Meig'h a Flipping Millionaire' fund. I know, not funny but fitting.
On a personal note. I am still working on chapter 25 of "A Loss Of Rights" so it will not be posted this weekend. Tomorrow (the 22nd) is the Tigress' birthday so I will be banned from the Internet most likely. Not that I see it as a bad thing but it is her birthday so I have to make it special for her. I didn't have time to get her a present today so I need to go tomorrow and get it for her. Besides, chapter 25 is a very important chapter that requires my full attention (what little is left, at this point).
It is kind of off topic but I started out this blog sipping some nice 12 yr old Lombard Speyside "Pebble Beach" scotch. Very smooth, slight smoky peat taste, very smooth finish. Anyway, very good but very expensive so I limit myself on it. I kinda needed another wee dram but all that's in the cabinet is good ol' Jack Daniels. After sipping the Lombard, Jack seems like paint solvent. Oh Well ...
Anyway, that's all for tonight. Take care y'all, especially my friends SC and Aslaug.
Kellan, the old warhorse.
