Well, I'm Still Sick ...
As of today, I'm officially sicker than all get-out.
I'm pretty confident I did crack a rib coughing. Can't touch it, lean against it or even touch it. The pain when I cough is just incredible.
I'm hoping this goes away soon because I'm just too sick to even care anymore. My writing is suffering greatly and I would just like to have one good night of sleep. I need it.

News From Casa Del Meig'h
In case you've noticed my absence on the web lately, it's because I'm sicker than hell right now. It just happens to be my Tigress and my anniversary today, too. Nice anniversary present.
I came down with the flu on Christmas morning and I've been very sick since then. Fever, chills, stuffy head, watery eyes, achy joints, the whole enchilada.
I've coughed so much I've strained my diaphragm and I think I cracked a rib, too.
I ask my on-line friends for your prayers that I recover soon. I can't remember when I was this sick before.

Christmas Eve ...
Well, it's officially Christmas Eve, and with that I must still buy one more gift, for my brother no less.
I'm just glad the place I must purchase it from will be open at least part of the day. If it wasn't I was screwed over big time.
Anyways, off to catch a little sleep before starting all over again.
Y'all be careful out there shopping!

I'm letting y'all know,
Chapter 18 of "A Loss Of Rights" is up!
By the way, I received a very nice Christmas card from my friend Aslaug yesterday evening. It's always nice to see someone take the time to actually use nib and ink to write a nice note to someone. Thank you for thinking of us.
Quick Notes for Monday
Just a note for y'all -
I have completed the tractor portion upload for the new gallery area.
Still no chapter 18, though. Sorry.
Just to see who's paying attention, what it this?
Leave me a comment if you know or want to guess what it is.

Winter Solstice and the pending Yuletide
I'm typing this late at night and the Winter Solstice almost over.
I would like to extend to my friends, both those in person and those on line a very warm wish for a happy Yuletide.
I know that some of you have had some rough times this year as I have had my own. To one of my friends in particular, a certain Aslaug, I sincerely hope the new year brings you a solution to your problems. To my friend SC down in SoCal, I hope for you an improved new year.
You all have a happy Yuletide season and I will try to firm up chapter 18 of "A Loss Of Rights" in the next two days of so for y'all as a present.

And The Winner Is ...
Ladies and Gentlemen, Femmes and Males, The winner is .... (drum roll please)
Yup, you read that right! Aslaug was the first to discover my forum and post!
Your prize is ... uh ... um ... erm ... well, I'll think of something!
*blushes in embarrassment*
And here's a pic of the old warhorse, ready to step out on the town in a kilt!
So anyways, that's all for tonight! Have a nice evening!

There's Something New Here ...
There's something new at Casa Del Meig'h but you'll have to find it on your own! First one to locate it wins!

Late Sunday ...
Just a quick note-
Not only did we see some nice vintage trucks, we took in some real nice vintage farm equipment! I will be putting a gallery up for the pics soon.
The only down part was we got there after 2 in the evening and the light was fading fast. The buildings are lit up by natural light coming through the skylights so the pics were somewhat grainy as a result. A few pics didn't come out well enough to publish.
We ate at Joe's Crab Shack in Old Town Sacramento for my birthday. My dear, sweet tigress did not disappoint, telling the wait staff it was my birthday. I ended up dancing ever so shortly with a waitress almost young enough to be my granddaughter, wearing a dumb straw coyboy hat about two sizes too small! Luckily, no pics were taken (that I know of). Paybacks are in order on my tigress' birthday.
As a side note, is anybody still reading my stories? I hardly ever hear from a reader, to the point I'm trying to get a forum of some sort up either on Planet Furry or my site. I'll let everyone know what happens once I get a forum up. Until then, let me know if you're reading by leaving a comment for me, would you?
Until next time,

Updates On My Birthday
Just a quick update for y'all
I have uploaded Chapter 17 of "A Loss Of Rights" for your reading pleasure! I hope you enjoy this rather long chapter.
As a side note, I've revisited Adobe Dreamweaver and I have to say, it does make for quick and dirty editing. I had my pages done in just a few minutes this morning. I'm still not sure I would give $400 street for this product, though.
Anyways, have a nice weekend, y'all.

Well, It looks like the Ducks didn't do such a good job of swimming in The Shark Tank tonight.
Nabokov and the boys shut out the Ducks 2 - 0. Sorry, SC. Better luck next time. On the upside, there were a few good fights.
Thursday, December 11, 2008
Well, I thought I would jump in here to let everyone know that I would not be posting Chapter 17 tonight but possibly Saturday.
As a side note, I wonder how well the Ducks will do tonight, swimming in the Shark Tank. What do you think SC? Think they have a chance against the Sharks?
P.S., If anybody sees my muse, tell her to get her butt home!

As some of you may well know, our city is trying to lure away the Oakland A's to the City of Fremont. This is bad because we have no places anywhere near transportation where they can build a stadium.
The real bad part is our mayor is so hell-bent to see the A's here to the point that he doesn't care if they still use the moniker "Oakland A's of Fremont."
Now anybody can see that this would be confusing as all get out. We would be advertising for Oakland and nobody will remember the A's are in Fremont.
This is what happens when Public servants have no clue when to step down. He openly admitted we have only 9 policemen at night to protect the city. How will they referee the after game melee's that occur?
Oh Well ...

Not sure if there will be an update to the story "A Loss Of Rights" this Saturday. My inspiration has taken another short vacation on me so progress has been slow.
I will give all of you a heads up when I post.
Notes to my readers: I didn't update today but that might not preclude me from posting this weekend.
Have a nice weekend,

OK, Thursday's blog is a comparison of two WYSIWYG HTML editing programs.
The first one is a well-known one called Dreamweaver from Adobe.com while the contender is an unknown from Sourceforge.net called CompoZer.
First up is Dreamweaver. It took some 20 minutes to download on broadband. This it totally unacceptable for a download time. I then took about 30 minutes installing it. Again, totally unacceptable. Upon running the program, I discovered the help files are online and unusable to do simple things like finding out how to link a page to a stylesheet.
The contender, CompoZer, is the upgrade to Nvu, which has no further development going on it. CompoZer is almost like Dreamweaver in the way that it runs, except it takes just a few minutes to download and install. This program has decent help files included that will tell you how to do simple things like link your stylesheet. there is a forum for help with this program, too.
The bottom line-Dreamweaver for $399 street or CompoZer for $0 (freeware)? Guess where my money's going!
CompoZer, for Win32, MacOSX, Linux tarball, Debian, Redhat rpm, and source code to roll your own.
Y'all take care,
