So Saturday comes with a certain feel...
I spent the afternoon setting up a forum on my non-anthro website, RayStankewitzDotCom just to test drive it for a while with my family.
The name of the forum is Phorum, an open source type thing that seems to be very configurable. I will test it over there before turning it loose over here.
I was asked by a friend, "Where can I get a signed copy of your book and how much?" Well, I will have to check out the possibilty of getting a few for such purposes. I'll let everyone that was interested know in a few days.

the question was asked ...
Where can I get your book? Well, through my publisher, PublishAmerica or through Amazon.com. Barnes and Noble will be carrying it too.

The usual Monday ...
It's the usual Monday ...
Ok, so here's the scoop. Went to FurAffinity to see that the site is down again. Does this surprise me? No.
Like all popular sites, it tends to get heavy traffic at times. It has been down for the count a few times, from what I've heard.
So, any body want to comment on this?

Ya know that could be good or it could be bad ...
UPDATE! 03/22/2008 @ 1616 HRS
I will be trying out Haloscan commenting feature on my site. It wasn't hard to install and it seems like it might work. Give it a try and leave a comment (clean, please!) on one of the blog entries.

The trials and tribulations of Windows Vista Home Basic
Do you use Vista?
I decided about a year ago that I would purchase a laptop for my writing. I diligently saved up my nickels and dimes until I had a small sum of currency set aside for the venture to come. I began to search around for the best bang for the economy buck, only to discover the fact that I would have to drive about 35 miles to reach a kiosk that allowed me to order a Dell© laptop. To be specific, it's a Dell© Inspiron 1501 with a 120Gb Hdd, 2Gb of RAM (now) and a CD burner/DVD Rom combo.
Before you email me to chastize the old warhorse for purchasing a Dell©, let me point out that I am more than pleased with its function. It did have a few shortcomings, however. It came with only 1Gb of RAM that I had to upgrade to 2Gb almost immediately. Vista is a RAM hog, I will point out. The other issue was with Vista itself. Some of our programs wouldn't run on Vista at all so we had to search out replacement programs to get back into the swing of things.
So where am I going with this, you ask? I was around computers before the personal computer was a viable option. There was DOS and a crude MS Windows OS that rode on top of DOS. How many of you remember typing "win" and hitting return to start windows? With every new iteration of Windows, more new features were brought out to make us more productive along with new bugs to make us horrified at the different ways we could accidentally invoke the 'BSOD', the blue screen of death that meant the OS had crashed and you were looking at a reboot at the every least with all of your hard-hacked data corrupted or just plain missing in action.
So what does this have to do with the price of oil in the middle east, you ask? I had my first BSOD out of Vista tonight. It rebooted after this funky blue screen with unreadable text on it came up. I ran all of my diagnostic tools on the Ol' Inspiron laptop only to be told it was in good working order. Oh Well, the more I use Vista, the more accustomed I get to its quirks. Only time will tell if I do the ultimate upgrade to it; Windows XP or some flavor of Linux.
As always, email the old warhorse HERE with your comments.

Just a little Oops...?!?
OK, so here goes ....
Thingamablog says to put in your top domain in the setup box provided. In my case it's http://www.kellanmeigh.com OK, so don't ask me why I added a subdirectory called blog. That just freaked out the system to the point that nothing worked right except this main page. No archives, no catagories, no nothing.
Why did I do this, you ask. I really can't answer that question. Since my muse went on vacation, I have not been thinking clearly at all. This was just another in a long line of HTML errors that I have made recently.
On a brighter note, I have put a warning Panda on my front page letting all know that my website's NC-17 rated for various reasons. Like it really stops all those little perverts from reading my works.
Blog at ya later, then.
Tuesday Morning Testing
And morning brings ...
A very tires and hurting Kellan. I'm tellin' ya, this finger nerves coming back to life thing really hurts. It's possible that some of you can relate to this dilemma but I haven't found anything that would tell me how long this might last.
Is somebody has that expertise, please enlighten me via E-MAIL.

Update for the new blog!
So I have done a few tweaks...
I know it doesn't look like my regular site but it will co-exist with the old site quite well. I have wanted to make it so I can just blog and not have to hack HTML to get it done. This program, Thingamablog, seems to work just fine for that purpose.
OK, so I will admit that I was having a few problems getting this program to work but it wasn't bad. It just took a few botched attempts and a little fiddling with the CSS file along with just a little missing hair, it's up and running.
If you have any comments, feel free to email me HERE..
First entry for new blog!OK, so here goes nothing ...
I have configured this so I can blog with a dedicated program, not relying on HTML to get it done. Let me know what you think.
you can return to the main site HERE
I will have this up and running better in the next few days so hang in there.
I will give you a link to the old archive pages too as soon as I figure this out better.
